OPD Block of GN Hosp., DH Doda & DH Kishtwar, IPD DH Handwara, Ist phase of DH Kulgam & SDH Sopore, SDH Keeri completed.

Blood Banks established in eight  district HQs of Jammu Division, DH Anantnag, Baramulla, Pulwama, Budgam, JLNM Hosp., SDH Uri, Bijbehara, Pampore & Tangmarg.

Bed Side Cardiac Monitor provided in DH Udhampur, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch, G.N. Hosp. , Doda, Sarwal, & at SDH Darhal, Mendhar, Bhaderwah, Sunderbani, R. S. Pura, Nowshera, Surankot;

DG Sets 15-40 KVA capacity provided to 43 institutions in Jammu Division;

Medical Officer’s Quarters at Khaitangan & PHC Manzgam URI, Sunderbani,   Noweshera, Mendher, Banihal, & Kalantra, completed.

Blood Storage Refrigerators provided to 32 health institutions in Jammu Div.

09 ECG machines, 4 each of USGs & Defibrillators & 07 X-Ray plants provided to various health institutions in Kmr. Div.

Knee replacement started in B& J Hospital Srinagar besides Rs. One Cr. provided for procurement of equipments for Emergency OT.

Male Sterilization by NSV technique increased from 455 in 2006-07 to 1797 in 2008-09.

Hep. B vaccination to infants for all the districts included in Immunization Programme from 2008.

20 PHCs & other buildings completed during the last few months

Procurement of 125 ambulances under NRHM

Telemedicine node upgraded at five nodes.

Resumption of Janani Suraksha Yojna  (Jan. 2009)

Work Done under National Rural Health Mission

Rs  40 crores for infrastructure development under NRHM

Annual Performance Appraisal of staff hired under NRHM

Supervision by RKS/Controlling officers

HMIS - Close monitoring of work done by  service provider  & facility performance

Referral Audit –Register of referrals in GMCs

Performance based awards for good work by specialists/ doctors/other staff

Display of services available in facilities including  funds with RKS

Special Focus on trainings:

Strengthening of RIHFWS & ANMTs ( Hiring  of faculty & Repairs / Renovations )

Trg  through PPP / NGOs  to VHSC/MDP/Biomedical  Waste Mgt etc);

Establishing training cells in GMCs for imparting Training to the in-service health personnel

Special Thrust on Trainings of MBBS Doctors in Em Obs Care, Anesthesia, Child Health, IMNCI Training for Doctors and Health /AWWs/ASHAs etc including SBA Training for ANMs/SN etc

Operationalising  facilities ( 120  PHCs 24X7  & 57 FRUs ) .

JSY to be Implemented as per GOI  guidelines

Initiate  accreditation of selected hospitals

Establishing Baby Care corners (100),
